Rev. Christine McFarland, Minister
Rev. Christine McFarland is a licensed and ordained Unity minister. She completed a three-year Masters of Divinity program at Unity Institute and Seminary in 2016.
In January of 2017, Rev. Christine signed a two-year contract with her first ministry. In her first ministry, a few highlights include creating a line item budget, a working web site, and updating bylaws. Updates to the Sunday order of service enhanced the overall experience with the creation of weekly PowerPoint, videos, updated music selections and more.
Rev. Christine brings into ministry a diverse employment background. She has worked as a fraud investigator, a 911 dispatcher and, at human services, as a crisis intervention specialist.
Rev. Christine has also been active as a volunteer in the community. Most recently she volunteered at a youth camp that focused on teaching young people about the prevention of sexual assault and domestic violence. She also volunteered at The Hope Center, a daytime homeless shelter. Rev. Christine was matched through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and was very active for many years. While in Kansas City, Rev. Christine volunteered for a hospice organization and ran a grief support group there as well. Rev. Christine worked with the Black Hills Center for Equality and assisted in establishing an interfaith service for the 2018 Pridefest.
Rev. Christine is creative and funny. She aspires to bring you messages of hope that relate to the world we live in.
