What happens at a Sunday Celebration?
Our Sunday celebration is inspiring and positive and full of practical tools for living a spiritually centered life. Our service also includes a devotional reading and a guided meditation.
You’ll experience a variety of music styles, mostly contemporary, both upbeat and contemplative. We also have several choral groups who regularly participate, and we have theatrical talent on occasion as well, making the experience here fun and joyful.
Our intention is to provide the opportunity for an experience of the Divine Presence. Come and feel the joy of Spirit!

Unity of Springfield is a welcoming community with a casual environment. Most of us will be dressed casually. We welcome any style that makes you feel comfortable.
What denomination are you?
Unity is trans-denominational. We honor all major world religions and welcome people of all faiths. Our beliefs are based on the teachings of Jesus, a multifaceted understanding of the Bible and the age-old principles of the New Thought movement. To those seeking authentic spiritual growth, Unity offers a positive, practical, progressive approach to Christianity.
Unity is without creed or dogma and has no formal liturgy. We believe the answer to every challenge lies within the heart and the higher mind of each individual. Our emphasis is not on the demands of a personality, institution or religion… it is on the spiritual transformation of each individual.
We strive for our ministries, publications, and programs to reach out to all who seek Unity support and spiritual growth. It is imperative that our ministries and outreach be free of discrimination on the basis of race, color, gender, age, creed, religion, national origin, ethnicity, physical disability or sexual orientation. The goal of Unity Worldwide Ministries is to ensure that all Unity organizations are nondiscriminatory and support diversity.
Does Unity believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ?
Yes, Unity teaches that the spirit of God lived in Jesus, just as it lives in every person. Every person has the potential to express the perfection of Christ as Jesus did, by being more Christlike in everyday life.
I have children; do you have activities for them during your service?
We provide activities for children age four and up; you can learn more about them here. We would love to have your child or children join us for our fun, meaningful Children’s Ministry!
